Two months after the worst electoral slap in the face of his presidency, it was a confident and a confrontational Barack Obama who delivered his sixth State of the Union address before a Congress now fully controlled by Republicans. But was it a bold visionary speech, or just a waste of time, given the political gridlock?
François Clemenceau is the Foreign Editor of France's Sunday "Journal du Dimanche" newspaper. He's also the author of a book about the woman he and many others believe stands a very good chance of succeeding Obama: Hillary Clinton.
He gives us his take on Obama's State of the Union address, and tells us whether he thinks Hillary Clinton can take the White House in 2016.
