If it was up to Dutch country band The Common Linnets, it would be more accessible for artists to showcase their talents across their national borders. The band won a European Border Breakers Award (EBBA) and the Public Choice Award during the international showcase festival Eurosonic in Groningen, the Netherlands. " It's very important that the laws permit you to cross borders easily and to get heard abroad. In European politics, the majority of the decisions are made in Brussels and Strasbourg, now culture should follow."
