TOP 10 Bowlers Banned For Illegal Bowling Action

1-Saeed Ajmal

Saeed Ajmal, who has been Pakistan's lead spinner in recent years, was banned in September 2014.
Ajmal was reported during the first Test against Sri Lanka in 2014.
He has been banned from bowling in international cricket by the ICC after his action was found illegal for all deliveries.

2-Shoaib Akhtar

Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar was banned by ICC in December 1999 but overturned almost immediately.
In an interview he admitted that the decision of the ICC to ban him was worse than the injury problems.
ICC banned Shoaib Akhtar for a suspected bowling action on Eve of New Year in the year 2000.

3-Sachithra Senanayake

Sri Lankan cricketer Sachithra Senanayake was banned from bowling in international cricket in July 2014.
Senanayake was reported for a suspect action during Sri Lanka's fourth ODI against England on May 31, 2014.
Senanayake has been banned from bowling in international cricket, after his action was found to be illegal.

4-Marlon Samuels

West Indian Marlon Samuels has been suspended from bowling for suspect bowling actions by the ICC.
Samuels was first reported in 2008 after which he didn't bowl for the next three years.
Once again he was banned in December 2013 from bowling quicker deliveries in international cricket.

5- Abdur Razzak

Bangladeshi cricketer Abdur Razzak was banned from bowling in December 2008 for suspect bowling action.
Razzak’s bowling action was reported by umpires after New Zealand's tour of Bangladesh in October 2008.
In March 2009, the ICC lifted Razzak's suspension and allowed him after he changed his bowling action.

6-Johan Botha

South African cricketer Johan Botha was prohibited from bowling in February 2006 by ICC for suspect actions.
In November 2006, he was cleared to resume bowling at international level after he rectified his action.
He was again reported in April 2009, and his doosra was banned.

7- Shane Shillingford

West Indian cricketer Shane Shillingford was banned from bowling on two occasions for suspectwd action.
Shillingford was banned from bowling in 2010 but returned to bowl in 2011 after undergoing remedial work.
Shillingford was reported in November 2013 again and banned in December 2013 by the ICC.

8-James Kirtley

Robert James Kirtley is a former English Test cricketer, who played 11 ODIs and 4 Tests.
He was suspended from bowling by England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2005 for his bowling action.
In 2001-02 he was also reported by the match referee on his one-day debut match in Zimbabwe.

9-Shabbir Ahmed

Pakistani pace bowler Shabbir Ahmed was banned by ICC for an illegal bowling action in December 2005 for 1 year.
In 2005 after playing the first Test against England he was reported to the ICC for an illegal bowling action.
His action was reported on multiple occasions, first in 1999 again in January 2004 and twice in 2005.
