'Cyberjihadists' hack hundreds of French websites

'CYBERJIHADISTS' HACK HUNDREDS OF FRENCH WEBSITES
With the French arm of informal hacker collective Anonymous recently declaring war on Islamist terrorists, hackers linked to radical groups responded on Monday with a series of attacks targeting hundreds of French websites. And they have taken to the net to boast of their exploits.
An organization calling itself the “United Islamic Cyber Force” is one of the most active in these assaults on French websites, claiming on Twitter that it had “defaced” dozens of webpages. The technique, termed defacement, consists of breaking into the web page, taking control and replacing the regular content. Some of the sites under attack are still unavailable, and now feature, amongst other things, the hacker`s logo …
Another group to have joined the loose coalition of Islamist hackers in the so-called #OpFrance is the Tunisian collective known as the “FallaGa team”, which has claimed responsibility, via a dedicated webpage, for some 1,222 attacks on French platforms. Home pages that now display messages like “there is no God but Allah” and “Mohammed is the messenger of Allah”.
Members of a group going by the name of “Anon Ghost” have taken over welcome pages with messages openly accusing the French government of stigmatizing the Muslim community. These hacker groups have vowed to carry our fresh cyber-attacks in the days and weeks to come.
