(Copa America, June 26, 2007) Uruguay had the better chances in the first half but Peru got the goal when centre-back Villalta powered home a header, and the Uruguayans had the ref to thank for a poor call saving them from a two nil deficit at the break. The decisive goal of the game, taking Peru into a 2-0 lead, was a right foot beauty from sub Marino from the edge of the box. The humiliating third was scored by Hamburg striker Guerrero.
