Police in Long Beach, California are asking for help in finding a baby girl who was snatched from her home on Sunday.

They say she was taken by some who allegedly shot her mother, father and uncle.

And they're asking for the public's help -- should the suspect seek help himself.

"We're hoping that somebody will come forward 'cuz he's gotta have somebody help him care for that child," said Long Beach homicide detective Lloyd Cox.

Police say the found the three injured adults when they responded to a report of shots fired in the area.

Cox said they're looking into whether the suspect knew the victims.

"That's one of the theories that we're working on is that the person knew them which is why we think it wasn't random, that it was targeted for some reason. We just don't know why."

The baby's father was treated and released while her mother and uncle were hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
