Srinagar: In yet another incident of ceasefire violation, fresh firing by Pakistani rangers was reported in Hiranagar sector along Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

The firing, which took place for four hours, started at 11 pm on Sunday night and continued till 3 am on Monday morning.

The Indian BSF rangers also opened fire in a retaliatory move.

The recent ceasefire violation comes around a day after Pakistani shelling killed two Indian soldiers and a villager while 10 others were injured.

Hundreds of villagers were also forced to take shelter in makeshift camps in Samba and Kathua districts.

They chose to stay at the camps and not return to their houses despite brief lull in firing yesterday.
