In good spirits, Italy's only Ebola patient only known as "Fabrizio" is released from a hospital in Rome.

He was flown here from Sierra Leone, and spent more than a month being treated for the deadly virus.

At one point, his condition worsened and he was placed in intensive care with respiratory assistance.

He says he has no memory of two weeks.

But the determined aid worker who contracted the disease fighting its spread in West Africa, says his job is not finished.

(SOUNDBITE) (Italian) FABRIZIO, SAYING:

"I will re-evaluate the possibility of returning to Sierra Leone, even for a limited period because I would like to go and finish what I started."

He was treated with experimental medication and plasma from survivors of the deadly virus.

Doctors will send his blood to Sierra Leone, so the antibodies can help fight the disease.
