Air Asia flight QZ8501 slipped off radar screens early in the morning of December 28th over the Java Sea, to the north-east of Jakarta. 162 people were on board the Airbus A320 travelling from Surabaya in Indonesia to Singapore, including 7 crew members. Air traffic controllers in Jakarta say they lost radar contact with the flight at 06:18 am local time.VIDEOGRPAHIC
