Man Hospitalized Following Eggnog Chugging Contest

A man in Utah was hospitalized following an eggnog-chugging competition.
It's hard to resist the allure of deliciously rich eggnog during the holidays.
However, things took an unexpected turn for one man in Utah who was hospitalized following an eggnog-chugging competition. It all happened a few weeks ago at Ryan Roche’s office Christmas party.
Roche, who is a very competitive man, decided he was going to chug some eggnog to win a steak house gift card. He won the competition hands down after drinking a quart of the holiday staple in 12 seconds.
When he finished, he was struggling to breathe. As the hours passed, his condition didn’t improve.
Said Roche “I was pretty much shaking uncontrollably I was shaking so badly, I was nauseous, and my breathing became a pant.”
He was soon taken to the hospital where doctors concluded the beverage had been aspirated into his lungs.
He has since recovered after spending three days at the hospital.
