Stephen Colbert has spent the last 9 years hosting ‘The Colbert Report’ and this week is the show’s final one.

Like most of us who are gearing up for a move, whether it is for personal or career-related reasons, the host recently spent some time getting rid of the many things he has accumulated over the years.

Prior to Wednesday’s episode, Colbert held a yard sale to sell the stuff he called ‘collected crap’. He had placed signs up all over New York City, inviting people to come to his makeshift yard sale.

Colbert did certainly have some unique mementos up for grabs and surprisingly he took exceptionally low prices for the items, as a good number of them sold for under a dollar.

And as a bonus, seeing the host interact with the general public and crack his signature jokes is nothing short of hilarious.

He won’t have to take his old office possessions to the new studio or the cash he earned from the yard sale, because he already blew it all on lottery tickets…and lost.

Next September, his upcoming program called the ‘Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ will air on CBS.
