Colombian government responds to FARC accusations of broken protocol

Colombia's defense ministry today responded to accusations by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) that the military had broken protocol by positioning large quantities of troops in the Choco region. The government responded by saying the upped military presence in the region is to 'protect' locals and that it is not carrying out any 'operations' in the area. The government said that by Tuesday it estimates that it will have met with the 'protocol' that the FARC insists upon as a part of the 5 prisoner release. teleSUR
