Polls close in boycotted Bahrain elections
  • 9 years ago
In Bahrain, the largest Shia muslim party is boycotting parliamentary elections.

It is the first time voters have gone to the polls since a government crackdown on Shia-led protests three-years ago.

There have been been demonstrations in the north western village of Diraz, where riot police used tear gas.

Al Jazeera's Nicole Johnston reports.
