A manhunt is underway in New York City after a male was pushed in front of a subway train. On Sunday, the victim, identified as 61-year-old Wai Kuen Kwok had been standing next to his wife waiting for a train at the Bronx subway station.

Witnesses at the scene later told police they saw a man push Kwok onto the tracks. Kwok's 59-year-old wife witnessed the traumatic incident.

The suspect quickly fled from the train station and boarded a bus. Kwok was struck by the train and pronounced dead at the station.

The two men did not exchange words, either before or during the fatal shoving. At this stage of the investigation, it doesn’t seem like robbery was a motive in the crime.

Just prior to the homicide, Kwok and his wife had been attempting to travel to Chinatown, which is something the couple often did on the weekends.

Police are hoping surveillance video that shows a person of interest will generate tips and lead them to the suspect.
