This Man Keeps Secrets Of Millions of People

Frank Warren has had strangers send him their secrets since 2004. From there, PostSecret was created, spawning six books, a blog and a legion of fans.

Since 2004, Frank Warren has been receiving the secrets of strangers from all around the world.

While working what he called a "boring job," he decided to pursue something more creative.

He began leaving blank postcards around public places addressed to his house, and asking whomever picked it up to anonymously send him a secret.

From there, it grew into the phenomenon known as PostSecret.

Warren has reportedly received around one million postcards since then. They range from being funny to heartbreaking, and deal with every subject, including death, sex and love.

Six books full of pictures of the postcards have been released since 2005, and his most recent one, "The World of PostSecret" was released this month.

It's the first book to be released in five years. In each book, Warren always includes one of his own secrets.

He also maintains a PostSecret blog, which has received at least 600 million hits.

Not only has Warren helped others, he's helped himself. He told Refinery29, “Looking back now, I would say maybe a deeper reason I started the project, and maybe why PostSecret found me, was because I needed it. Through this project, I’ve uncovered secrets I was keeping from myself.”

After a decade of secrets, Warren isn't sure how much longer PostSecret will last, and believes his latest book may be the last.
