Tragically, the mother had passed away several days earlier while giving birth.
At around 6 months into her pregnancy she underwent an emergency C-section to save the life of the child, but didn’t make it through the procedure herself.
Upon being delivered the baby was incubated and life-saving efforts began.
The father, Chris Picco, decided to pick up a guitar sing to the struggling newborn as when Lennon was in the womb he’d start to move around when music played.
Only hours after the emotional performance, Lennon took his final breath.
In a post the father said, “He was dressed in an outfit that Ashley bought for him, with little guitars on it, and wrapped in a blanket made by a dear friend. I am so thankful for the four unforgettable days I got to spend with him.”
