Altaf Hussain Terms Kasur-Incident Barbaric

The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Mr. Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned the brutal act of torching a couple to death after falsely accusing them at Kot Radha Kishan area in Kasur city.
In a statement issued from London Secretariat, MQM Chief said that such prejudicial incidents were increased especially in Punjab, when personal conflicts were turned into religious facet. He said that it was almost a daily routine that the minorities, including Christians, Hindus, Sinkhs were being targeted to protect personal interest.
In the recent past, the Christians were burnt alive in their houses caused extreme insecurity among the minorities. He said that the same incident was happened in Kasur, where a Christian couple was burnt alive after shedding religious facet to the personal conflict.
Mr. Hussain said that such incidents were the product of religious extremism and terrorism in the country. He demanded that people, who involved in the incident, should be brought to justice and all the accomplice should be sentenced as they deserved.
He also demanded to take measure for the safety of the minorities, especially for the Pakistani Christians, who were unfortunately being targeted of religious hatred. He expressed his deep sorrow and sympathy to the bereaved families and offered his condolence to them.
