Although the previous owner couldn’t play the instrument himself, he would have events at his house and invite someone to play it.
Guy VanderWageen, one of the men who worked on installing the massive instrument over the course of five years is quoted as saying: "He wanted a real pipe organ. It is something he wanted since he was a child and we got to help him fulfill that dream."
Each of the organ’s 23 hundred pieces makes its own sound, and some of the pipes are two stories tall. The massive instrument takes up about a third of the house.
It is larger and more elaborate than most church organs.
Mark Douglas, the realtor of the house has reportedly gotten inquiries from some of the top musicians all over the United States.
In light of all the media interest, Douglas expects to get an offer on the house very shortly.
