Brooklin Yazzie had removed her ring and set it down inside a candy jar while she and her daughters were carving pumpkins. As the evening went on and things became more chaotic, thoughts of the ring slipped her mind and Yazzie dumped the jar contents into the treat bag.

She soon began handing out candy and plastic rings to trick-or-treaters. She didn’t remember her ring had been mixed in with the Halloween goodies until it was too late.

Yazzie remarked “When I first realized what had happened, I just lost my speech, I froze.. It’s my wedding ring, you know? I mean you could replace it but it’s not the same.”

Yazzie and her husband have been married for 10 years. She hopes someone will come forward and return the sentimental jewelry piece.

This wasn't the only wedding ring that was lost on Halloween this year. A ring belonging to a man in Boston named Robert Rand also fell into a trick-or-treaters bag of candy.
