THE INTERVIEW - Evgeny Morozov, author of 'To save everything, click here'

Evgeny Morozov was one of the first voices to criticise the optimism over the internet’s role in advancing freedom of speech and human rights.
In 2010, he attacked “cyber-utopianism" with his best-seller "The Net Delusion: The Dark Side of Internet Freedom", arguing that repressive regimes use the internet to keep track on dissidents and spread their own propaganda. He also pointed out that, more often than not, people use the internet for entertainment purposes and personal validation rather than as a tool of political emancipation.
Now, with his new book "To Save Everything, Click Here", he fights the idea that new applications and algorithms are the answer to every issue a society might encounter.
