Altaf Hussain Calls For Sectarian Harmony In Muharram

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Sunday appealed the religious scholars, jurists and clerics of all schools of thought to maintain sectarian harmony, peace and brotherhood on the occasion of Muharram, Dunya News reported. MQM chief urged members of various sects not to make provoking statements and to fail the provoking elements by the force of mutual unity. In his special message on the occasion of Muharram, Altaf Hussain said that Muharram is a sacred month filled with great sacrifices in the human history and that it is obligatory on Muslims to respect this month. Altaf Hussain urged MQM workers and members to make every effort in order to maintain brotherhood and sectarian harmony on the sensitive occasion. He urged MQM members to establish peace committees comprising youngsters and elders in order to propagate the message of harmony.
