Recently, a curious 18-month-old boy named Colin Lambert got stuck behind the glass of one of them. The incident occurred at Browns Creek Coin Laundry in Maryville, Tennessee.

His grandmother, 62-year-old Diane O'Neill had only taken her eyes off the boy for a brief moment but that gave him just enough time to sneak into the contraption.

O'Neill explained “All I could see was his feet. He had already crawled in. I grabbed his feet and he kicked my hand and got in. Climbed up over the glass partition and sat down in the toys.”

O'Neill was scared at first but she soon realized he wasn’t hurt and that he seemed to be perfectly content playing with toys. She called 911 and firefighters arrived on scene to free the child.

Within minutes, they got him out of the machine. Firefighters even let Colin pick out a toy.

Earlier this year, a 3-year-old child in Lincoln, Nebraska got stuck in a claw crane machine and managed to terrify witnesses and of course, his mother. The child was freed and also received a stuffed animal for all the trouble.
