Palestinians hope for prisoner release

Palestinians are hoping that an end to occupation could lead to Israel releasing thousands of prisoners.

More than 2,500 Palestinians are still in jail after mass arrests in June.

They were detained after the killing of three Israeli settlers.

Some of those behind bars were recaptured, after being released in a prisoner exchange deal in 2011.

Al Jazeera's Imtiaz Tyab reports from the occupied West Bank.
