A woman in Donelson, Tennessee was tragically killed after a semi truck hauling pumpkins crashed into her home around 3:30 on Wednesday morning.

The 66-year-old victim, Carol Boo had been sleeping at the time of the crash. The truck plowed straight into her bedroom.

By the time law enforcement officials got to the scene, Boo had already passed away. Her husband and adult son were home during the incident, however they had been in different rooms and weren’t injured.

The truck driver, identified as 34-year-old Leonard Wilson was also unharmed. The rig had been loaded with about 40,000 pounds of pumpkins, which were destined for a grocery store.

Wilson told officers he saw a tree in the road and had to turn around. A short time later he claimed to have felt the truck wobble just before the accident.

There were no skid or brake marks on the street or in the yard, making it appear as though Wilson didn’t slow down before colliding with the residence. Wilson provided a blood sample for testing, and police said he did not appear to be impaired.

No charges have yet been filed in the case but the investigation into what happened is ongoing. The house is severely damaged and is now being referred to as totaled.
