Former Haitian dictator "Baby Doc" dies at 63

Jean-Claude Duvalier -- Haiti's "Baby Doc" -- has died of a heart attack at age 63.

The former Haitian dictator came to power at the age of 19 after his father, "Papa Doc's" death and ruled the country with an iron first for 15 years.

Last year, a Haitian court ruled that he could be charged with crimes against humanity and abuses by the army under his rule.

He's consistently denied responsibility for abuses committed while he was in office.

Like his father, he used a sinister secret police force known as the Tonton Macoutes, and relied on terror to keep the people oppressed.

"Baby Doc" also famously ignored Haiti's extreme poverty --- Along with his wife and friends, he could be seen indulging in a luxurious lifestyle.

Fury over his lavish lifestyle and abuses came to a head in 1986 after an uprising forced him to flee the island he once ruled.
