Chic "protesters" take Boulevard Chanel at Paris Fashion Week

STORY: The spirit of the barricades returned to the leafy boulevards of Paris for fashion week on Tuesday (September 30), for all those brave enough to go protesting in a Chanel suit. The luxury juggernaut, headed up by ponytailed impresario Karl Lagerfeld, recreated a Parisian street for its Spring/Summer 2015 show, complete with that most French of features - a demo. Leggy models brandishing placards with slogans reading "History is Her Story" and "Be Different" joined the designer for the catwalk finale in a twist that was pure Lagerfeld. Of course, there was no graffiti nor dog droppings in sight to sully the splendour of Boulevard Chanel, only dozens and dozens of brightly hued suits and dresses from the German designer whose energy and creativity seems boundless.
