The Washington Nationals have been in existence for just nine years, so it wasn’t really a huge deal that the team had never had a pitcher throw a no-hitter before. That all changed on the last day of the MLB season when Tommy John survivor and all-around underrated pitcher Jordan Zimmermann toed the slab against the Miami Marlins.
