A teenage girl in Denver, Colorado is in the hospital fighting for her life after taking the drug known as ‘Molly’.

17-year-old Bianca Garten went to Skylab at the Denver Coliseum, which is a rave-type party. Bianca’s father, Keith Roehm, said she died not once, but twice and required resuscitation.

Roehm described what she has gone through on Facebook, noting “She is now on life support and going into renal failure. Her heartbeat was at 165 beats per minute and her temperature was at 108 degrees for 20 minutes.”

Many people believe ‘Molly’ is simply MDMA, which is a medication used to treat depression and also the main active ingredient in Ecstasy. In recent years, however, ‘Molly’ has become a concoction of lab-made, dangerous chemicals.

In Bianca’s case, only small levels of MDMA were found in her system, leading her family to believe she may have gotten a bad batch. Extreme heat and a lack of available water might also be contributing factors to her condition.

Roehm says the Denver police have been alerted of what occurred. The department has gotten a text message printout showing who is said to have provided ‘Molly’ to Bianca, but, reportedly officers won’t make an arrest, as they feel she was seeking the drug out.

A gofundme page has been launched to assist the family.
