Dunya News - Javed Hashmi, Shah Mehmood at war again

Vice Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that he will quit politics if Javed Hashmi proves his relationship with Aabpara. He challenged Hashmi to either prove his relationship with Aabpara or withdraw his papers from by-elections.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Javed Hashmi were political opponents but came closer under the leadership of Imran Khan in PTI. However, after Javed Hashmi’s differences with PTI, the two have again turned into opponents.
While holding press conference today (Thursday) in Multan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi criticized Javed Hashmi over his statement. He said that if Javed Hashmi proves his relationship with Aabpara, he will quit politics immediately or else Hashmi should withdraw his nomination papers from by-elections in NA 149. Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) will not file its candidate against Javed Hashmi. He also said that Javed Hashmi will join PML-N after election.
Talking to media after attending a seminar in Multan today, Javed Hashmi also criticized Shah Mehmood. He said that Shah Mehmood should speak for PTI not for PML-N. He said that he did not believe Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri’s thinking to be wrong. He said that he still favoured Imran Khan but said that Imran’s strategy was wrong.
