Evading police is never a wise idea, especially if a suspect has on some colorful garments. In one recent case, it was a man’s undergarments that may have helped get him busted.

On September 12th, Seminole County deputies arrested a male suspect who allegedly fled from officers during a traffic stop.

Police attempted to pull 30-year-old Victor Tate over for speeding in Longwood, Florida. Instead of stopping, Tate sped up, reportedly to the point where he hit 90 miles per hour.

Tate continued barreling through traffic in an effort to evade cops, while the Sheriff's helicopter tracked his movements. Eventually he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a pickup truck at a traffic light.

Tate got out of his own auto and fled on foot. In an effort to describe the suspect, the chopper pilot told authorities on the ground, "Driver's got red underwear."

His vibrant undergarments were noticeably poking out from his shorts. The pilot also informed them “Just fell down, still trying to run by the retention pond.”

Ground-based cops didn’t have much trouble finding him. Tate was arrested and is now facing charges of reckless driving, fleeing and eluding, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, driving without a valid license and possession of cocaine.
