Dunya News - Lahore: PML-N MPA Shamim Akhtar's husband murdered

Husband of PML-N’s Punjab MPA Shahmim Akhtar was mysteriously murdered inside their residence in Samanabad area of Lahore, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.
70-year-old Mian Kabir Ahmed was found dead inside his room early Monday, police told. The body has been sent for autopsy to ascertain cause of death.
MPA Shamim Akhtar said she was out of her home to attend a wedding ceremony. She accused that a suspect namely Nomi poisoned her husband to death.
She told police that Nomi had been threatening them for past few days.
On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the murder of incident and directed Inspector General of Punjab police to submit a report and arrest culprits involved in the murder at earliest.
The Chief Minister also expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
