Israeli police officers fire tear gas canisters at Palestinian protesters in East Jerusalem.

Protesters here are outraged over the death of a Palestinian teenager who they say died from injuries sustained during violent clashes with police a week earlier.

Masked and shielded by trash cans, protesters throw rocks and firebombs at Israeli police.

This type of violence has become almost a daily occurrence.

A photograph of the now deceased Palestinian teenager is displayed on a nearby car.

Israeli-Palestinian tensions have been high as of late --

A Palestinian teen was killed in July in an alleged revenge attack by suspected Jewish radicals, after of three Israeli youths were killed in the occupied West Bank by Hamas militants.

It's the worst violent outbreak in Jerusalem since a Palestinian uprising a decade ago.
