A man has come under fire after he was filmed downing an entire bottle of Jack Daniels in 10 seconds.

Will Williams, of Caernarfon, north Wales, was shown drinking the 70cl bottle of whiskey as part of a ‘weekend of beer’ in a video uploaded to YouTube.

In the clip, he is seen ripping the seal off the bottle with his teeth before ‘strawpedoing’ the 40 per cent proof liquor.

His friends are heard laughing in the background as he spits and says ‘Neknominate that’ at the end of the video.

Many said he was lucky not to have died as a result of the stunt – calling him ‘just idiotic’.

‘I’m not going to say I regret doing it, but it’s not something I would do again and I wouldn’t want anyone to copy me. I was very lucky.’

Health experts said he could have been killed by the stunt.

Jackie Ballard, chief executive at Alcohol Concern, said: ‘We need to remember that alcohol is a poison and can have extremely serious and immediate effects if consumed in a large amount at once.

‘More needs to be done to ensure the dangers of alcohol misuse, and risk of alcohol poisoning, are taken more seriously.’
