Railway station hit in Donetsk shelling

As political talks over Ukraine continue, so does the violence.

In the rebel stronghold of Donetsk, several shells have exploded. One hit a railway station building and another struck a trolleybus.

At least four people were said to have been hurt.

Other explosions were also reported elsewhere in the town.

Meanwhile, a global security think-tank says amateur video recently posted online does show a Russian army tank – purportedly in eastern Ukraine.

“The crucial thing about that particular type of tank is, we assess it is only actually in service in the Russian army, it was never exported outside and it couldn’t have been inherited by a Soviet Republic, former Soviet Republic such as Ukraine,” said Joseph Dempsey, from the International Institute for Strategic Studies.

Moscow continues to deny that its forces are fighting to support pro-Russian rebels – who have declared independence in two provinces in eastern Ukraine.
