Pediatric Nurse Arrested For Allegedly Molesting Newborn

A pediatric nurse in San Diego has been accused of sexually molesting a newborn. 50-year-old Michael Williams Lutts was arrested at his home on Tuesday by FBI officials.
A pediatric nurse in San Diego has been accused of sexually molesting a newborn. 50-year-old Michael Williams Lutts was arrested at his home on Tuesday by FBI officials.
Agents had executed a federal search warrant which allowed them to search the residence. There they found a cell phone that reportedly contained photos and videos of the accused performing sexual acts on the baby.
On August 4th, Lutts was granted custody of the foster infant. FBI Spokesperson Darrell Foxworth claims the abuse started on the first day the 2-month-old child was in his care.
The investigation that led police to Lutts’ door started back in April. It was then that the FBI executed a search warrant on an email address that was run by an individual who was ‘distributing child pornography’.
An examination of the email account showed Lutts allegedly sent child pornography to it. Court documents note the evidence found in Lutts’ home depicts him performing lewd acts on the infant and himself.
In one of the videos, the infant was heard crying nonstop. The baby has since been placed into the care of Child Protective Services.
Lutts was charged with ‘sexually exploiting a child’. Foxworth stated “In his position, Mr. Lutts had access to juveniles. We do have some concerns there may be other victims out there.”
