Dunya News - National Security Conference: Objectives of Zarb-e-Azb achieved, army briefs

During an army briefing at the National Security Conference, participants were briefed about the progress of Zarb-e-Azb operation in North Waziristan and were assured that all objectives had been achieved including the clearing out of Boya, Deegan, Miranshah and Mirali.
During the National Security Conference lead by Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, Director General (DG) Military Operations Major-General Amir Riaz gave a detailed presentation on the present progress and future plans pertaining to the Zarb-e-Azb operation. According to the DG, more than 500 terrorists have been killed so far and landmines are continuously being destroyed in the search operation.
