Journalists broke the story after they saw Secret Service officers racing across the lawn while they waited for a statement from president Barrack Obama about the situation in Iraq.
Secret Service spokesman Edwin Donovan said: "We were going to wait until he learned to talk to question him, but in lieu of that he got a timeout and was sent on his way with his parents."
The White House reportedly has some of the highest security of any residential building on the planet.
Secret Service officials won’t give an exact number of how many security personnel are working at the White House, but there are measures like alarms, and infrared sensors to detect intruders.
There are also teams of armed security officers patrolling the lawn, and trained snipers positioned on the roof.
