We have seen a lot of films based on dogs or with dogs being the hero! So when we heard Akshay Kumar’s Entertainment is coming up with a similar concept, oh! We just couldn’t hold on to our excitements! In fact, the promos of this Sajid-Farhad film further gave us an added hype showcasing hilarious happenings around the dog and our comedians Johnny Lever and Krushna Abhishek! But wait? Now that the film has finally released on the 8th of August, has it lived up to our excitements? Does Entertainment really promise entertainment? Well, let’s find out!
So firstly, a quick brush up through the film’s plot! Entertainment narrates a story about Akhil, who keeps doing odd jobs to support his livelihood. One fine day, he discovers that he is the illegitimate child of a multi millionaire Pannalal Johri But before Akhil could inherit his father's property; he comes to know that it's already been transferred in the name of his father's loyal dog Entertainment. So now how will Akhil get back his property from that dog is what the entire film is all about.
Now, as per the story, the film has definitely lived up apt, to the film’s title Entertainment! Starting from the one liners used to the character actors like Johnny Lever and Krushna Abhishek, the jokes are way too funny and I am sure you’ll hurt your jaws, laughing till the end of the film! But yes, there are a few drops with a bad screenplay! At times, it gets dragged to such an extent that you might just want to take a power nap instead! But other than that, Entertainment, toh full on entertainment hai boss! Coming to the performances, while Akshay is a stunner as always, Tamannah lies weak on her boring stretch that looks wasted! Meanwhile, Krushna and Johnny are wow and yes, I still can’t stop laughing!
So on an overall, Entertainment is a must watch for all those who love dogs and who wishes to have an entertaining weekend! Run for fun…
On the rating scale, we at Bollywood Uncut give it 3 stars on 5!
