Travis Pastrana Announces New Nitro Circus Series &Film

The Pastrana Project premiering Friday, August 8, with new episodes airing every other Friday. The Pastrana Project will follow the team while shooting their new film appropriately named Action Figures.

It is said that “Idle hands are the Devil’s tool.” For the past 6 years Travis Pastrana has had anything but idle hands. Juggling a schedule of Nitro Circus Live shows, NASCAR, Rally America, X Games, GRC, filming for Nitro Circus TV shows and movies…not to mention getting married and starting a family…
But 2014 presented Travis with a whole new challenge: some time off. Travis has put that statement to the test, by directing and producing a new film that will put all of his friends lives on the line…
ACTION FIGURES the movie, due for release in the winter of 2014 is the brainchild of Travis Pastrana. An Action Sports film featuring all disciplines. Travis took the craziest and most motivated athletes on the Nitro Circus and turned them loose on their summer vacation. For the first time since the inception of X Games, the best in the world were asked what was possible. No rules on equipment modifications. No regulations on ramp heights or angles. No limits on creativity. No excuse to be anything but AWESOME.
While the action in Action Figures is sure to blow your minds, Travis is adamant that it’s not a just a stunt film. It’s not going to be a documentary. It’s definitely not going to be "scripted reality". He wants Action Figures to get back to the lifestyle of action sport - as fun to watch as it is to make. They’re building their own jumps, spending their own money and editing their own film to ensure that nothing is lost in translation. A film by the riders, for the riders.
Fortunately for you, Nitro Circus is not one to let epic content end up on the cutting room floor because it doesn’t fit the script! We promise to keep you in the loop with a 10-Part web series that gives you a look beyond the stunts. We’re calling it The Pastrana Project. This series captures the crews passion, camaraderie and outrageous adventures that will inevitably take place along the way. As Travis and the crew travel the country, we will introduce the cast of lunatics that will make up the film and show how some of these extreme exploits went down.
