On Thursday evening, Lance Hart heard rumbling sounds outside his new house.

Initially he thought it was his neighbors making the noise, but he didn’t understand what they could be doing because the closest one lives about a half mile away from his home.

Given that it was dark out, he couldn’t really see anything out of the ordinary. Hart went to work and returned to his property on Saturday.

That’s when he peeked over the back fence and saw the gaping hole. According to Hart, the sinkhole which resembles a cliff face, measures about 50 feet deep.

Hart described the sinkhole stating “There was water at the bottom, it must have been very deep because one of the trees was really big, about 2.5ft across, and there’s no sign of it, it’s gone. There were a couple of other fairly large trees that have gone without a trace as well.”
