Fine Molds 1:500 Missile Escort Ship (Yukikaze) build 1

On my recent trip to Hobbyon, I bought this nice model of the Yukikaze missile escort ship from Space Battleship Yamato. Fine Molds had the license to make this kit as a Leiji Matsumoto ship, but not under the Yamato name. Thus the different decals and paint scheme suggestions.

I had some free time and a few tools while staying at the in-laws' place in the mountains of Nagano Prefecture, so this is what I've done so far!
