Dunya News - Sethi removed, Justice (R) Jamshed appointed as acting PCB chairman

Justice (R) Jamshed Ali Shah has been appointed as acting chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for next 30days, Dunya News reported on Thursday.
A two-member bench comprising Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Justice Saqib Nisar heard the case pertaining to the appointment of PCB chairman.
According to the notification issued by attorney general, Najam Sethi was removed from the post of chairmanship while the Prime Minister barred the PCB management committee from working.
Earlier on Wednesday, PM Nawaz approved the new PCB constitution.
Under the PCB constitution, the new governing body will hold elections within 30 days while Justice (R) Jamshed will also be the Chief Election Commissioner, the notification stated.
The attorney general also confirmed that the new chief will take charge of the post from today.
