SOT Eduardo (in Portuguese): "Brazil is shit. Brazil isn't worth a thing. They think that's football. That's not football at all. That's an illusion. Shame! Here! At the Brazilian World Cup."

Angry Brazil fans vented their frustration with their World Cup team's performance in Tuesday's semi-final against Germany, burning and destroying icons of the top players of the country's national sport. Among the objects trashed was a football strip bearing the number of Neymar, the Brazilian forward ruled out of the game due to injury.

Germany led Brazil 7-1 at the final whistle, with many fans weeping openly in the stands or taking the opportunity to leave early. Some fans expressed their displeasure more forcefully, with scattered clashes and confrontations with police.
