After her smashing singing debut in Imtiaz Ali's Highway, Alia Bhatt is back playback mode with Samjhawan Unplugged, a melodious rendition of Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal's track from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Apparently it was Karan Johar's idea to record this new version of the track as he wanted showcase this aspect of Alia's talent.
Alia is also expected to perform this song live at an event where the song will be unveiled.
Alia's stage performance will be presented by her co-star Varun Dhwan and interestingly Alia has even dedicated this song to him. So get ready to be floored by yet another avatar of the awesome Alia.
Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, directed by Shashank Khaitan, starring Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan is slated to release on July 11.
