Violence escalates in Iraq

Violence continues to escalate in Iraq with the government forces battling the ISIS to regain control in several areas as 84 Indians still remain stranded. Russia has delivered five second hand jets to help the Iraqi government boost its military capacity. While fierce gunbattle continues in Iraq, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has met the envoys from the Gulf countries to discuss the situation in Iraq and the possitble fallout of the unrest.
