A woman in Billings, Montana has been accused of cutting her husband’s face because he urinated on the bathroom floor. 52-year-old Shery Lynn Downs was arrested Monday after cops were dispatched to a local home.

Officers found Downs’ 68-year-old husband resting on the front steps of the house, holding a blood covered cloth over his face. The victim told police his wife had slashed him.

According to the husband, Downs said she wanted to ‘cut him up’. She reportedly grabbed a ‘clever-type’ knife and slashed his throat and face. The accused then told her spouse ‘she hoped he would die’.

Downs was arrested and charged with ‘assault with a weapon’. After being taken to jail, she still stuck to the story that her husband cut himself, but said her fingerprints would be on the knife because she used it to cut meat.

The victim required surgery to repair a several-inch long gash.
