Roger Ebert hits the big screen

Film critic Roger Ebert becomes the subject.

The late writer's friends and family gathered in New York to celebrate the release of "Life Itself" - a documentary about his life.

Film maker Martin Scorsese produced the film alongside director Steve James.

"I think that Roger would actually give it two thumbs up. I think that he'd be very pleased with it because it's a very honest portrait of him. It shows warts and all."

Ebert's wife, Chaz, worked closely on the project, said her husband would approve.
