The filmmakers announce a project with much excitement, throwing lavish parties etc. some even go to the extent of launching the movie trailer, but after that kya? We don't hear from them ever again. So well, here are the list of films that were shelved forever!
Munnabhai Series -- Munnabhai Chale Amerika
It's been more than a year the film Munnabhai series -- Munnabhai Chale Amerika trailer was announced, but thanks to Sanjay Dutt's jail term, the film was shelved mid way.
Taalisman
The 'Taalisman' trailer was also played during 'Eklavya'. Starring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role, the film seemed to be India's answer to 'Lord of the Rings' wherein Big B was seen on a horse in a getup that reminded of Gandalf.
Ghayal Returns
Sunny Deol's National-Award winning performance in Ghayal is something that no one would forget. So when the world was announcing sequels, there was a second episode announced for this one as well.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai-Animated
A slick trailer of Karan Johar's debut film 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' comprised star voices of Shah Rukh, Kajol, Rani Mukherji and Sanjay Dutt. Sadly KJo never took the promise of the trailer to a feature film.
Power
Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt -- sounds like a dream cast, isn't it? Rajkumar Santoshi managed to get them together but only till the mahurat shot of 'Power'.
Time Machine
Shekhar Kapur was to follow up the science-fiction success of Mr. India with another sci-fi 'Time Machine'. The ambitious project starred Aamir Khan and Raveena Tandon. Though the film started shooting, it subsequently got shelved.
Dus
Dus was Mukul Anand's dream project starring Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon and Shilpa Shetty. Alas with the director's sad demise, the film was left incomplete.
