The Fashion Icon Award is given to an individual whose style has made a significant impact on popular culture on an international stage.
Rihanna was honored with the Fashion Icon Award at the 2014 CFDA, the annual Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards, on June 2nd at Lincoln Center.
The record-breaking recording artist, actress, and fashion designer was recognized for her contributions to the fashion industry as well as her philanthropic partnership with the M·A·C AIDS Fund's Viva Glam campaign.
The Diamonds singer glittered in a racy sheer embellished halter dress to show off every inch of her slim figure.
The naughty outfit, custom made by designer Adam Selman and comprised of a total of 216,000 Swarovski crystals, left nothing to the imagination as Rihanna took a star turn on the carpet in her backless dress.
