Dunya News - Impact of cyclone reaches Pakistan's coasts

Although Met Office has confirmed there was no potential threat to Pakistan from the cyclone, the impact of it reaches the shores of Pakistan.
Intermittent rains hit lash Karachi while the Cyclone heads to Amman with a speed of 150 km per hour.
The cyclone tonight will transform into a storm and will hit the coast of Amman. The storm poses no direct threat to Pakistan, said the Met Office earlier, though heavy rains are expected in the coastal areas of Makran and Sindh.
In Lasbela, the close localities of fishermen came under water owing to high tides. In the villages of Thatta and Badin scores of villages came under water.
An exodus of a considerable population from vulnerable areas has also begun. The Met Office has also warned the fishermen not to go to the4 open seas for a while.
In an another forecast, the Met Office has said the heat wave will continue in the country while rain is expected in the upper areas.
